About 177,000 grade 1 to grade 3 primary school students in Zhongshan returned to their classes on May 25.
At about 8:00 am, students in grades 1 to 3 of Shiqi Central Primary School returned to class. The school prepared the slogan "Welcome Back to School. We Love You!" at the school gate. After queuing up at the door to take body temperatures and wash their hands, the students entered their classrooms one after another. "We have arranged the desks and chairs in the classroom individually for each student. Each desk is labeled with students' names, helping them find their own seats," said Ruan Yunliang, head teacher of Class 3, Grade 1.
In Sanxin Kaiyin School Affiliated to Sun Yat-sen Memorial Secondary School, students from 24 classes arrived at school in batches and in an orderly manner as scheduled. Teachers in the lower grades prepared gift bags for their students upon their return.
Some classes of West District's Tiecheng Primary School prepared flowers for their teachers. "During the epidemic, teachers paid great efforts to give online classes to children every day, and check their homework and cared about children's health. We present these flowers to teachers for their hard work," said a student's parent.
