Over 400,000 primary and secondary school students in Zhongshan welcomed the beginning of the fall semester on September 1.

Before the start of school, some universities and boarding schools in Zhongshan organized students to return in advance. From August 26 to 30, the campus of Zhongshan Polytechnic, which had been quiet for nearly 7 months, was once again filled with cheers and laughter, and students finally returned to school. Before that, the school carried out safety and disinfection procedures in the dormitories.

Many secondary schools in Zhongshan have completed the freshmen military training and are preparing for the new term one after another. On the afternoon of August 31, more than 1,600 senior grade one students from Sun Yat-sen Memorial Secondary School, who had completed the five-day military training, attended the opening ceremony.
