Zhongshan Versatile's education and training center in Skyline International Plaza boasts a bright and transparent design with high ceilings to create an open and clear space. This is the second center established by Zhongshan Yueyang Education Information Consulting Co Ltd in the city.
"Zhongshan citizens have always attached great importance to education. That's why our business can make great progress here," said Liu Jiajie, director and general manager of Yueyang Education. "This year, we set out to build overseas recruitment channels for local enterprises to provide more domestic employment information and opportunities for overseas students."
Liu Jiajie, a native of Zhongshan, went to the University of Edinburgh and the University of Glasgow for education master degrees, and then obtained a PhD in Education from University College London. During his master degree study in 2010, Liu and other students returning from abroad founded Yueyang Education, which is committed to connect overseas education with Chinese people.
"Our company was first founded in Shanghai. After returning to China in 2014, I set up branches in Zhongshan, Zhuhai and Chengdu." Over the last 10 years, Liu and his team members have helped nearly 5,000 Zhongshan students and a large number of students from other cities in China to be admitted to top universities around the world, and many have been accepted by such Ivy League Universities as University of Oxford and University of Cambridge.
Liu said that contributing to the development of his hometown after studying aboard is one of the proudest things in his life.
"I want to share my experience on career planning and entrepreneurship with more people," said Liu, adding that in the next stage he wants to continue to serve even more Zhongshan enterprises and overseas students, so that overseas students can know more details about domestic employment as soon as possible and make plans for their future. "In addition, I'd like to provide help for Zhongshan enterprises who want to recruit excellent overseas students and expand the foreign market."
