Last year, Dongsheng Town invested nearly 60 million yuan to start the reconstruction of Jielong Primary School, which is planned to be fully put into use in September this year, providing 1,080 public enrollment places to further alleviate the current shortage problem.

The reconstruction started in May 2020 to rebuild the school on its original site. Covering an area of 18,492 square meters, the school includes teaching buildings, multi-purpose buildings, basketball courts, a 200-meter track and field stadium, smart school system, audio and video classrooms, lecture halls, conference rooms and other supporting facilities.

The school will have a total of 24 classes, 8 of which will be opened this autumn, including 6 first grade classes and 2 for other grades. The school will mainly accept school-age children with registered residence and qualified students under the points-based system in Jielong District of Yumin Community and Dongcheng Community in Dongsheng Town.
