A total of 48 young candidates were training under the guidance of instructors in front of the teaching building of Xiaolan Senior High School on the morning of July 28.
This is part of a new intensive training program initiated by Xiaolan Town for the third time. It has proven effective in improving the physical exam qualification rate, helping candidates to realize their dreams of joining the army.
In the second half of this year, 750 eligible young people in Xiaolan Town applied for army recruitment and took the physical examination test, with 89 passing the preliminary examination. From July 25 to 30, Xiaolan Town arranged for these 89 candidates to participate in the intensive training program under strict around-the-clock management. Eight ex-servicemen were appointed as instructors.
Zuo Zhicheng, deputy director of the People's Armed Forces Department of Xiaolan Town, said: "The last two training programs increased the pass rate of Xiaolan recruits from 30% to nearly 50%."
"I adapted to the army life in advance here, which has laid a solid foundation for me to become a soldier in the future." Liang Encheng, who was admitted to Guangdong Polytechnic College this year, said.
