Schools in Zhongshan are organizing vaccination campaigns for adolescents aged 12-17 in the first week of the new semester.

As of September 1, some 310,000 students aged 12-17 have been inoculated with the first-shot of the COVID-19 vaccine and about 136,000 have been vaccinated with both shots, accounting for 61.9% of all students.

It is estimated that about 130,000 adolescents aged 12-17 will get the second shot within the first week of this semester.

As of September 1, 8.43 million shots of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered to a total of 4.445 million Zhongshan citizens, of which 4.029 million have gotten both shots.
