The Zhongshan People's Government Information Office held a special press conference on November 10 to introduce preparations for the First Zhongshan Vocational Skills Competition.

The competition will be held from November 13 to 14, Saturday to Sunday, with a total of 46 events including 10 on-site events and 36 off-site events.

Off-site events have been held since August across Zhongshan. The on-site events will be held at Zhongshan Fitness Square from November 13 to 14, and the opening ceremony will be held on the morning of November 13.

Over 270 enterprises and 13 vocational technical colleges have signed up for the competition, and each town and district has sent a team to participate incompetition.

There are first, second and third tier prizes and honorable mention prizes in each event. The top three contestants in the working professional category will be honored with the "Zhongshan Technical Expert" title. The first tier-prize winners in some working professional and student categorized events will be honored with the "Xiangshan Craftsman" and "Zhongshan Skills Star" titles, and the awarded contestants will receive recommendations for the later "Top 10 Craftsmen" and model workers' nominations.
