The 2nd Vocational Skills Competition of Guangdong, which lasted for 4 days, came to a conclusion on the evening of December 6. Zhongshan won 2 gold, 6 silver and 7 bronze medals and topped prefecture-level cities in overall score, only after Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Liang Shiyu and Chen Wanlin won gold medals in the chemical laboratory technology and candy making/pastries events respectively.

As the end of October 2021, Zhongshan has carried out subsidized vocational skills training for 472,730 people, issued 30,556 vocational training vouchers, and filed 131 enterprises qualified for vocational skill training. At present, 23,491 people in the city have obtained vocational skill qualification certificates,  not to mention the 3 technical colleges in Zhongshan.
