This year, Zhongshan newly established a post-doctoral innovation practice base in Guangdong Sanvo Holding Co Ltd and five provincial doctoral research workstations in Ju Xiang Yuan Health Food (Zhongshan) Co Ltd, Zhongzhi Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited, Zhongshan Torch Polytechnic, Guangdong Junjo Pharmaceutical Co Ltd and Zhongshan XG Intelligent System Co Ltd respectively.

By the end of December, Zhongshan has had 86 doctoral and post-doctoral research stations, which attract 108 doctoral researchers to settle in the city.

So far, the Zhongshan Institute for Drug Discovery, SIMM, CAS that was jointly established by the municipal government and the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica has attracted 30 doctoral and 13 post-doctoral researchers and put forward 4 provincial and municipal projects.

The existing 55 postdoctoral research workstations in Zhongshan cover a variety of areas, including new energy, new light source, medical treatment and health care, bio-pharmaceuticals, electronic information, advanced manufacturing and furniture manufacturing.

"We have set up many post-doctoral and doctoral workstations, and the researchers attracted have greatly contributed to the R&D of local enterprises, " said Dai Xuewei, spokesperson of Ju Xiang Yuan.
