Since February 24, the conflict in Ukraine has been escalating, bringing danger to the people from Zhongshan in Ukraine.

According to local investigations, five students from Zhongshan were identified studying abroad in Ukraine (four in Kiev and one in Odessa).

The five students have been safely evacuated to neighboring countries with the help of Chinese Embassy in Ukraine. Three of them have already arrived in China by air, and the other two would return to China soon.

"I would like to remind Zhongshan citizens that in case of a life-threatening emergency overseas, such as major conflicts and natural disasters, please call the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' 24-hour global consular protection hotline 8610-12308 for protection and assistance by the consular of the Chinese government," said a spokesperson of the Zhongshan Bureau of Foreign Affairs.
