On August 24, the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou entered a 30-day countdown to its opening. Wang Xue'er, Chen Yiwen, Lin Shan, Huang Zhilin, Zeng Luyao, Ma Binyan, Liang Ruiji, and Liang Weixiong from Zhongshan Sports School were selected to compete in the Asian Games.
Among them, Wang Xue'er will participate in Women's 100m Backstroke, Chen Yiwen and her partner will compete in Women's 3m Springboard and Women's Synchronised 3m Springboard, and Lin Shan will compete in Women's 1m Springboard. Huang Zhilin, Zeng Luyao and Ma Binyan will compete in the Cycling events. Liang Ruiji, an outstanding equestrian athlete, will represent China for the fourth time in the Asian Games. Liang Weixiong will take part in the Rowing Men's Eight event.
This year's Asian Games will gather about 12,500 athletes from all 45 member countries or regions of the Olympic Council of Asia. Delegations will compete for 481 gold medals in 40 major sports events with 61 sub-events from September 23 to October 8.
