The IFSC Youth World Championships Guiyang 2024 took place in Guiyang, Guizhou Province from August 22 to 31, attracting 600 exceptional young rock climbers from 51 countries and regions worldwide.

Five students from Sun Yat-sen Memorial Secondary School won one gold medal, two silver medals, a fourth-place, and a fifth-place.

Among these, Li Meini won the gold medal in the youth b female's boulder event, which was China's first gold medal in this event.

Yu Chenxuan won a silver medal in the youth b female's lead event, achieving the best result for China in this event. Li Meini finished in fourth place.

Li Yang won the silver medal in the youth b male's speed event, and Zhu Yufan secured fifth place in the youth b male's boulder event.

Among the five, one person was awarded the title of "International Masters of Sports" and three "National Masters of Sports".
