The first Zhongshan Intelligent Manufacturing Design Competition hosted by Zhongshan Economy and Information Bureau closed on the morning of Dec. 4th after one-year operation. 22 works stand out from 186 and won the awards in four groups. The competition aims at finding the practical talents featuring craftsmanship and design skills in intelligent manufacturing industry, so as to serve manufacturing industry in Guangdong via transformation and upgrading, and promote the transmission of excellent design products.

Based on the industrial characteristics of Zhongshan such as lighting, household appliances, hardware, the competition has been held in three categories, namely, production tools, products assembly, and new organs. Different from the common games testing theories and knowledge, this one focuses on practice and is the first of its kind to compete on the basis of designs of technique automation in a real industry.
