Zhongshan's box office revenue in 2019 was 347.462 million yuan, with an increase of more than 10 million yuan from 2018's figure.

The top 10 highest grossing films of 2019 in Zhongshan include "Nezha: Birth of the Demon Child", "Avengers: Endgame", "The Wandering Earth", "My People, My Country", "The Captain", "The White Storm 2: Drug Lords", "The Bravest", "Hobbs and Shaw", "P Storm" and "Spider-Man: Far from Home".

Domestic animated and science fiction films stood out from others, with "Nezha: Birth of the Demon Child" being number one at the box office, earning 25.59 million yuan revenue in Zhongshan.

It is also worth mentioning that two of the top 10 highest grossing films were Hong Kong Cantonese films, and Hong Kong movie star Louis Koo, whose ancestral home is Zhongshan, starred in both films.
