Events to be held in Zhongshan during Chinese Spring Festival

1. Xiaolan Folk Paper-cutting Exhibition

The exquisite paper cuttings in Xiaolan are rich in content, and diverse in forms, highlighting the characteristics of Zhongshan. Zhongshan Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center has collected paper cuttings, including the works of Zhong Guojian and his disciples, for Xiaolan Folk Paper-cutting Exhibition. Zhong Guojian, the representative inheritor of Xiaolan Paper-cutting, started learning paper-cutting skills from his grandmother since he was six years old. After 40 years, he has developed his own style. He is especially good at character-themed paper-cuttings, which are delicate and realistic, with great charm.

2. Spring Festival Invitational Exhibition for Art and Calligraphy Works

With the themes of the year of Tiger, CPC centenary, poverty alleviation, Greater Bay Area construction, fighting COVID-19 and production promotion, etc., a total of 120 art and calligraphy works are on display in this exhibition.

3. Singing activity - "Embracing the Spring Festival with Cantonese Songs"

Zhongshan Cultural Center will hold a singing activity - "Embracing the Spring Festival with Cantonese Songs" during the Spring Festival. Citizens need to make an appointment one day in advance, then can receive a gift after sharing photos of the activity on  WeChat Moment. The gifts will be given on a first-come-first-served basis.
