In light of the complicated and severe epidemic prevention and control measures enacted recently and in order to effectively reduce the unnecessary trips, the Ministry of Transport has decided that passengers who have purchased tickets at road and waterway passenger terminals, online ticketing platforms, or through other channels can apply for a refund if they voluntarily change their itinerary, and the ticketing organizations must process the refund for free, starting from midnight on March 15, together with the handling personal accident insurance.
It is worth noting that according to China Railway, the railway department has also rolled out a measure stipulating that train tickets purchased before March 15 can be refunded free of charge.
