The highly anticipated renovation and upgrading of the Fuhua Hotel in Zhongshan started on the morning of May 13.

According to the investor Zhongshan Investment Holdings, Fuhua Hotel will be reconstructed according to the standards of a quasi-five-star urban garden hotel. It is expected to open in the first half of 2026.

Zhongshan Investment Holdings will spend 350 million yuan to advance the upgrading and reopening of Fuhua Hotel. The construction will undergo three stages, partial demolition, transformation and upgrading, and partial reconstruction.

After renovation, the hotel having a total building area of 42,000 square meters will boast a spectacular Qijiang River view and garden landscaping. In addition to accommodation, the hotel will also provide such services as catering, conferencing, fitness and entertainment, etc. It will have 225 guest rooms, over 1,000 dining seats, 6 conference rooms, and a multi-function hall that can hold 700 people.

Fuhua Hotel was put into use in 1986, and became one of the first four-star hotels in Zhongshan later in 1990. Since the reform and opening up, Fuhua Hotel has witnessed historical changes in Zhongshan'sbusiness and social development.
