Chaqiao Road, a secondary main road connecting the Zhongshan-Kaiping Expressway and downtown Zhongshan, is now ready for traffic and will be open simultaneously with the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link.

The newly expanded section extends from Chanan Road to the South Outer Ring, designed with four lanes and a speed limit of 30 km/h.

In addition to the renovation of road, bridge, culvert, water supply and drainage works, the construction also includes permeable pavement, grass swales and bio-retention systems to meet the requirements of sponge city building.
