Construction began on the Zhongshan International Baseball and Softball Center, another major sports facility in Zhongshan, on July 17.
The center is located in the Dongsheng Rail Station area in Xiaolan Town. It is expected to be completed by April 9, 2025 and meet the requirements for hosting the baseball and softball competitions of the 15th National Games by May 2025.
With a total investment of 400 million yuan, the center includes the existing Pandas Heritage Stadium and a new stadium under construction, covering a land area of 146.21 mu.
