Zhongshan Civil Affairs Bureau issued yesterday morning an emergency notice to require civil affairs departments at town or district levels to start emergency plans to defend typhoon. Civil affairs departments opened all emergency shelters yesterday noon to provide support to citizens in need. If disasters occur, civil affairs departments will work with related departments to relocate citizens.

According to related regulations, civil affairs departments at municipal and town levels added necessary relief materials which can be carried to the typhoon-stricken areas immediately.
